About

I teach what I actually run.

Twenty years behind the camera. A luxury wedding studio in New York. And an education brand built on the unglamorous things that made it work.

I started as an assistant twenty years ago — hauling bags, taping down cables, watching how weddings actually work. I freelanced around New York for the better part of a decade, and in 2020 I opened my own studio. Terrible timing. It worked out anyway: today the studio photographs 45 to 50 weddings a year at the luxury end of the New York market.

But for years in the middle, I was the best-kept secret in my market — booked solid and still underpaid. Getting better at photography never fixed that. What fixed it was learning to position, price, and run the studio like a luxury brand: what to charge and how to hold the number, the systems that keep a full calendar from becoming a full collapse, and the positioning that makes the right couples choose you before you say a word.

That's what Alex Knight Education is. Not theory — inventory. The presets are the ones we run on client weddings. The guides are our actual playbooks. The tools are free because I wish someone had handed them to me. And the coaching is me, in your corner, applying all of it to your business instead of mine.

Let's get to work. — Alex

What I Believe

Four things I'd tell every photographer.

i.

You don't have a talent problem.

You have a pricing problem. The gap between good photographers and well-paid photographers isn't the pictures — it's the business wrapped around them.

ii.

Systems beat willpower.

A studio that runs on memory and heroics eventually drops something that matters. Build the machine — the docs, the workflows, the automations — and let it carry the repetitive 90%.

iii.

Craft, by hand, on purpose.

Automate the admin, never the art. The things clients actually pay luxury prices for — the eye, the edit, the taste — deserve human hands every time.

iv.

Consistency compounds.

One good post, one good gallery, one good call — every week, for years. Nothing glamorous. That's the whole secret, and almost nobody does it.

Two Doors

One studio. Two audiences.
