The short version: I collect the minimum needed to run this site — form submissions you send me, order records from Stripe, and cookie-free anonymous analytics. No ad trackers, no data sales, no nonsense.
What I collect, and why
- Forms you submit (guide signups, newsletter, coaching applications, editing inquiries): the name, email, and details you type. Used to respond to you and, if you opted in, to send the newsletter. Processed by Netlify Forms.
- Purchases: checkout is handled entirely by Stripe — card details never touch this site's servers. I receive order records (name, email, amount) to deliver your purchase and handle support.
- Call bookings: when you book a call, the name, email, phone, and notes you enter are stored as a Google Calendar event so the call can happen, and emailed to me.
- Analytics: this site uses cookie-free, first-party analytics. We count page views and, to estimate unique visitors, compute an anonymized identifier that is re-randomized every day — meaning we cannot recognize you tomorrow, and we never see a profile of you. No advertising pixels, no third-party trackers, no cross-site anything.
- The free tools (calculators, builders): everything you type stays in your browser's local storage. Names in your shot lists, your pricing numbers, your photos in the carousel tool — none of it is uploaded to us.
What I never do
- Sell, rent, or trade your information. Ever.
- Run third-party advertising trackers.
- Email you marketing you didn't sign up for — and every newsletter includes an unsubscribe that actually works.
Who touches the data
Service providers that make the site run, each receiving only what their job requires: Netlify (hosting and forms), Stripe (payments), and Google (calendar events for booked calls, and Meet links). Each has its own privacy policy.
Your choices
Want your form submissions, booking records, or newsletter subscription deleted? Email me and it's done. If you're in a jurisdiction with data rights (GDPR, CCPA, and friends), those rights are honored on request — access, correction, deletion, portability.
Retention
Form submissions and order records are kept as long as needed for support, accounting, and legal obligations, then deleted. Analytics data is aggregate from day one.
